It's Time for our next Dream Big! International Project 

Doug Morgan, past Seaside Rotary President, instilled a deep belief that we all need to Dream Big! in our Seaside Rotary Project goals.  

Under his leadership, and continuing through later presidents, Seaside Rotary became the proud recipient of 3 International Grants.  These large scale, bilingual, multi country, multi state, multi Rotary Clubs and support organizations, gave us extensive experience in overseeing large International Projects that support Rotary International's seven Areas of Focus.  

  • Project / Grant #1:  

    $500,000 USD of Project Cure medical equipment and supplies for opening of the first Red Cross Hospital in Playa del Carmen

     

  • Project / Grant #2: 

    A multi Rotary club effort to install a complex water system and supporting infrastructure (power, sewage) in Cristo Rey, a remote village of Playa del Carmen.

     

  • Project / Grant #3 (Nicknamed The Big 6!): 

    This was a multiyear, multi country, multi US and Mexico states initiative to bring 6 cargo containers filled with life saving medical equipment and supplies to 6 General Hospitals across 3 Mexican states.  That's A LOT of red tape!

We are wrapping up Project 3 this year and are looking for Dream Big! partners for our next project, Project #4!  Project #4 can be anything - more clean water projects, more health projects, or something your club, organization or business has an interest in doing here in Playa.
